What to Expect on Moving Day
When your ICANN Moving Company crew arrives, they will come prepared with a properly equipped moving truck or trailer, moving blankets, shrink wrap, dollies, carts, straps, and the tools needed to complete your move safely and efficiently.
Your movers will begin by introducing themselves and reviewing the move with you. Before work begins, they will obtain the required signatures on the moving documents mandated by the State of Texas. This is when your time starts. The crew will then walk through your home with you so you can identify everything being moved, point out fragile or valuable belongings, and explain any special instructions.
Next, the crew will carefully disassemble furniture as needed. Furniture will be protected with moving blankets and shrink wrap before being safely loaded and secured for transportation. We are also equipped to handle challenging items that require additional care, including heavy gun safes, pianos, oversized furniture, appliances, and other specialty items.
Once everything is loaded, your movers will transport your belongings to the new location. Upon arrival, the crew will walk through the home with you to learn exactly where each item belongs. They will unload your belongings, place furniture in the rooms and positions you choose, and reassemble the items they took apart.
The time required for a local move depends on the amount being moved, the distance between locations, stairs, access conditions, disassembly and reassembly, and whether any heavy or specialty items require extra handling.

A Complete Record of Your Move
After your bill is paid in full, an itemized paid invoice is automatically emailed to you. It shows every service and charge included in your move, confirms a zero balance, and provides a clear record that payment was received in full.
Your documents also include copies of your electronic signatures and the recorded start and completion times for your move. Whether you need the invoice for your personal records, employer reimbursement, business expenses, insurance, or tax purposes, you will automatically receive a complete copy—there is no need to request one afterward.

A Guaranteed Price Is Not Always a Fair Price
A flat-rate moving quote can feel reassuring because you know the total before moving day. However, that does not necessarily mean you are receiving the best price. Some local moving quotes include a substantial cushion for time and labor that may never be needed. If the move is completed faster than expected, the price stays the same—and you may end up paying for hours you did not use.
At ICANN Moving Company, we believe your price should reflect your actual move. We do not assign one general flat rate based solely on the number of bedrooms in your home. Two three-bedroom homes can be completely different: one may contain only essential furniture and a small number of boxes, while another may have fully furnished rooms, a garage, outdoor furniture, storage areas, and considerably more belongings. Those customers should not automatically pay the same price.
For most local moves in Tyler and East Texas, hourly pricing gives customers the fairest value. You pay only for the time your move requires. We do not add extra hours “just in case,” inflate the price to meet a daily sales goal, or charge you for time that was not used.
Your hourly time begins when our movers arrive at your pickup address and ends when your move is completely finished at the final destination. Transportation time between the pickup and delivery addresses is included while your belongings are on the truck. We do not charge hourly time for traveling from our office to your pickup location or for returning to our office after the move is complete.
If knowing the total price in advance is important to you, we can also provide a flat-rate quote following a free, detailed moving estimate. Depending on the move, this may be completed by phone, through a virtual walkthrough, or during an in-home estimate. We review your furniture, estimated number of boxes, stairs, access conditions, disassembly needs, additional stops, and any heavy or specialty items before calculating the price. This allows us to offer a flat rate based on what you are actually moving—not an inflated guess based on the size of your home.
Before your move begins, every rate and charge that could apply will be clearly explained and included in your paperwork. Additional charges apply only when you request added services or when a different arrangement has been discussed and approved in advance.
