What to Expect on Moving Day
When your ICANN Moving Company crew arrives, the movers will introduce themselves and review the details of your move with you. Before work begins, you will review and sign the moving documents required by the State of Texas. Your hourly time begins when our movers arrive at your pickup address.
The crew will walk through your home or business with you so you can identify everything being moved, point out fragile or valuable belongings, and explain any special instructions.
Furniture will be disassembled as needed, protected with moving blankets and shrink wrap, and carefully loaded and secured for the trip.
After loading, ICANN Moving Company transports your belongings directly to the destination according to the schedule and arrangements established for your move.
At the delivery location, our crew will walk through the home or business with you to determine where everything belongs. We will unload your belongings, place furniture in the rooms and positions you choose, and reassemble the furniture we took apart.

Most long-distance moves are delivered the same day they are loaded or the following day. Based on our past moves, approximately 98% have been delivered within that timeframe. Although same-day or next-day delivery cannot be guaranteed, we work to deliver your belongings as promptly as distance, road conditions, and scheduling allow. If you need additional time before delivery, we can arrange a later arrival when requested and agreed upon in advance.
How We Price Long-Distance Moves Within Texas
At ICANN Moving Company, our pricing is based on the services and time your move actually requires. We do not automatically assign an inflated flat rate based only on the number of bedrooms in your home.
Two four-bedroom homes can contain completely different amounts of furniture, boxes, garage contents, outdoor items, and specialty pieces. Those moves should not automatically cost the same.
Unless a different arrangement is agreed upon before booking, your hourly time begins when our movers arrive at your pickup address and ends when your move is completely finished at the final destination. This includes the time spent transporting your belongings between the pickup and delivery locations.
We do not charge hourly time for traveling from our office to your pickup address or for returning to our office after delivery. Any applicable trip charges, specialty-item charges, packing materials, additional stops, or other services will be discussed and disclosed before your move begins.
If knowing the total price in advance is important to you, we can also provide a flat-rate quote after completing a free, detailed moving estimate. Depending on the move, the estimate may be completed by phone, through a virtual walkthrough, or during an in-home visit.
This allows us to calculate the price according to your actual inventory, access conditions, distance, and requested services—not simply the number of bedrooms listed on a form.
Before your move begins, every rate and charge that may apply will be clearly explained and included in your paperwork. Different pricing, travel, delivery, or storage arrangements apply only when discussed and approved before booking.
